Tim Hortons Hero Cups Featuring Essential Workers

What could be better than receiving a heartfelt appreciation for your effort?

Tim Hortons has done something similar for their Canadian guests who have worked in the front line during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tim Hortons, a fast-food restaurant chain specialized in coffee, doughnuts, and other fast food items have launched a new print of cups called Hero Cups in honour of essential workers across Canada.

On June 15, 2020, the brand announced on its official social media accounts about launching limited-edition Hero Cups as a tribute to essential workers and front-liners who have worked day and night in this COVID-19 pandemic to support their country.

The brand gave a shout out to its Canadian guests to nominate their favourite frontline hero. This could be anyone who has worked to keep the country running in these difficult times, for example, health-care workers, first responders, truck and transit drivers, retail staff, or government members.

Guests will receive special Tim Hortons Cups which will have “Thank You” and “Merci” message printed on them instead of the Brand logo.

The “Merci” message is for the French-speaking population of Canada.

Each Tim Horton Hero Cup will feature names and profession of 100 heroes wrapping around the cup and thus, there will be 100 variations of these cups.

“Frontline workers have been the backbone of our communities during these extremely difficult times. Like all Canadians, we want to ensure that we continue to show our gratitude and appreciation by shining a spotlight on them. These limited-edition Tim Hortons Hero Cups are another opportunity to showcase some special people and let us all be a part of acknowledging their amazing contributions.” said Hope Bagozzi, chief marketing officer at Tim Hortons.

How To Get Featured on Tim Hortons Hero Cups?

  1. Canadian guests can nominate someone for their chance to be featured on a Tim Hortons Hero Cups, by visiting herocups.timhortons.ca.
  2. The brand will ask for some details such as your name, email, nominee information –  name, email, job title, organization, and reason for nominating their name.

Thinks To Keep In Mind:

    1. After receiving the details, Tim Hortons will contact the nominees for their consent before inclusion of their name on a Tim Horton Hero Cup.
    2. The last date of nomination is June 24, 2020.
    3. Only Canadian people can participate.

Conclusion

I must say this is a very good effort by Tim Hortons to promote their brand and appreciate the hard work of front liners. I myself have worked in essential service during the lockdown, so I can very much relate to the feeling that these customers will have after seeing their names getting featured on Tim Hortons Hero Cup.

I wish something similar is done by the brands here in India as well for the essential workers.
